This may be a dumb question but what is the deal with all the "Bump" posts?

    When you reply to any post it puts that post in the "My Topics" area under forums so you can watch them for updates and not have to search too hard for them later :)

    No dumb question accept the one that goes un-asked

    What she said. Alternatively the original poster may bump their own thread to push it to the top of the forum to attract new attention.

    Not at all a dumb question.

    Bump has several uses
    - Bump can be done so it shows up on your profile and you and/or your friends can see it later on
    - Bump can be done to bring up the post to the top of the page in the forums listing, making people revisit or or when the forums are active and a question goes unnoticed, bump can bring it up to peoples attention again,
