I seriously need to be friends with people that will motivate me. I just saw photos from my wedding (Friday) and cried looking at every single one. I do good for the most part, then mess up my weekends ....Maybe I need people to yell at me and call me tubby lol....I mean seriously, i don't know what else will get me moving my big behind!!!!!

I do the same thing. I read somewhere that it's because our weekends tend to be far less structured than our weekdays and without a routine we are lost and pathetic (my words).
What I would normally do is subconsciously obsess over the approaching weekend - free time! nachos! booze! ETA: And then when I'd get to the weekend it was an effing free-for-all.
This weekend I challenge you to follow a loose schedule of eating and I will do the same. By Thursday, let's share what and when we plan to eat for Saturday and Sunday and check-in Monday to see how we did.0 -
I got married in July and I hate my photos, I didn't want to get married at 215 pounds and have my most precious photos be of me at a size 18. But somehow I got motivated when the summer ended. I'm just sick of being overweight, feeling like crap and feeling unattractive. I started the day after labor day at 220 and I'm down to 197 right now. It's not easy but it is worth it. I set small goals for myself at first. One week was to go for a walk, the next 2 walks, the next 2 walks and a workout video and so on. You can do it, it's actually enjoyable once you get into it.0

You are more than welcome to add me! Just remember, you CAN do this. Weekend are my struggle as well but if you just make a few changes it makes a huge difference!0

Don't use negative tactics like calling yourself fat. Instead think of how GORGEOUS and HOT you look. Think about how your husband will be even more turned on by you once you get your body right. Think about how radiant and energetic you'll feel eating right & exercising regularly. Think of the clothes you'll wear! Think of every single benefit.
That's how I keep myself motivated when I'm in a slump. Actually, I just motivated myself more now by typing this post. Lol.0 -
Sometimes I wish I had my own personal drill sergeant too!
When you feel yourself looking for excuses to skip your workout, let your mfp's know! They will cheer you on!
If they start slacking, get back into the forums and start recruiting new friends. The more the merrier!0 -
No one person can motivate you. The real secret is that it comes from yourself. If you don't believe you can do it, or if you don't REALLY want to do it - you won't.
I am no where near where I want to be weight wise, and I've always wanted to drop about 25lbs from my frame. I also look for motivation elsewhere - but it hasn't worked time and time again.
No one can force that healthy (or not healthy) food in your mouth. No one can yell at you enough to consistently get you to go to the gym and give it your all.
It comes from you. You won't change until you make the change YOURSELF.0
