3 pounds away from being half my heaviest...

So.. I was 500 pounds at my heaviest, and I know that seems a bit insane to some people, but it's easy to get there.
Today I weighed myself at 253 pounds, I was stuck for a while and wasn't losing anything.. I have to say one thing though I really think that losing this much in less then a year and a half is one of the greatest things I ever accomplished.
Does anyone have advice for if I get stuck again? I go To the gym about five days a week, and while I don't count my calories on here, I do so in my head..
If anyone wants to friend me, I would love more encouragement and I would love to give some to you guys as well!

The closer you get to a healthy weight, the slower it comes off. You might want to consider logging your food as you get closer to your goal. It can be pretty easy to forget a bite of something here and there. When the scale gets stuck, rather than eat less calories I workout harder. Maybe raise the incline on the treadmill or turn up the speed a bit. Also helps to change the time of day you work out, or swap the time you eat your high calorie meal; for example have your biggest meal at lunch instead of at dinner time.
You're doing great! Keep it up!0 -
Log your food! No, seriously, log everything. Even if you try to keep track in your head you will forget one thing here and two things there. I can't count how many times I have had to go back and add items to my diary because I was eating on the run and forgot about one of the things I ate. Over the course of a week all those little missed add up fast.
As far as hitting plateaus, you have to change your routine from time to time. Switch up your workout so you are not always doing the same thing. If you aren't already doing so, I would recommend heavy weight lifting. You burn more calories when you have more lean muscle. Since you like sports, join a league and start playing something every week. You still get a workout in but it's not in the gym, it's a nice break from the routine. If you really want to go crazy, sign up for an obstacle race like the Warrior Dash, Spartan Race, of Tough Mudder. It's a ton of fun and a great way to motivate yourself to work out harder.
Anyhow, congrats on your success, you've already accomplished so much!0
