Seriously? Only 40 extra calories a day?

I have been counting calories since mid August and doing great. I have been on 1200 calories a day with a 1 1/2 lb weight loss per week and pretty much hitting that every week. But decided to change it up a bit (based on what I have been reading on the boards). I changed my weight goal to only 1 pound a week. Here is the seriously part. Changing the weight loss goal from 1 1/2 to 1 pound a week it only upped my calorie count to 1240. Only 40 calories more a day. Boo!

It was likely that your original number was lower than 1200, but MFP doesn't allow show anything below 1200.

Something is off. If you changed nothing save your goal, you should have gotten 250 calories. Try redoing your goals.

I had mine set and either 2 or 1.5 per week but as it would adjust from my weight loss, it was auto adjusting and ended up being less than my goal that I put in because it won't go below 1200. So I agree with what Rayman79 said.

Agreed. I only got an extra 40 cals too. Right now my goal is set to 1200 but really, I tend to eat between 1200-1400, occasionally more or less, but that's what I aim for. When I was doing that, I was successful at losing weight.
