    Oh Lord! If my youngest son was to see that, I'd be in trouble. But, then again, it makes me want to go pull out my turkey and bacon!

    It would be very interesting to taste the turkey after it's bathed in bacon flavor! It'll be rather unique and tasty.

    Alton Brown was interviewed on NPR last night and he said that basting did more harm than good. He said that it does add more flavor to the skin but it doesn't penetrate through the skin into the turkey and by opening the oven you're letting out heat which means the turkey needs to be in the oven longer actually making the insides MORE dry than if you had just kept it shut...

    I was wondering this myself....thinking this is the REAL Turkey Bacon. ;) Nah...I have no idea but am open for suggestions. I'll post pics after I cook it, though.
