Training watch suggestions

I'm a visually impaired runner, but I also swim a fair amount and would like a training watch which asos has the option of having an HRM added. My guides don't always have theirs on-hand and would lie to have my own data handy, would also like to know more accurately distance traveled during swims as right now I'm calculating things roughly...so 25x40= how many metres I approximately swam.
With that in mind, a few VI runner sin my group have Garmins since apparently the display's got a good-size, some even have backlights available and the numbers are pretty read-able. Was thinking of going for the 910 since it is tailored for Tri-athletes, so would be able to use it for running as well as swimming with no problem but was wondering if anyone had suggestions?
