Shinier hair!

I don't know if this is due to my eating lots more veggies and fruit, but I was just curious to see what you all thought. I have noticed in a short few weeks that my hair is so much softer and shinier. (Yes!) Is this because of the vitamins in fruits/veggies and eating more protein? I am assuming this is, but wanted to know if anyone knew a more detailed reason why.
