Hi there, I'm a bit new to the exercise thing and I'm just wondering if someone with exercise experience could give me some good advice.
Age:43 almost 44
Female, with two kids
Height: 5'6"
Start weight: Sept 2010 215lbs
Current weight: Nov 2012 165.6lbs (just back from 2 weeks holidays)
Lowest weight: 145lbs January 2012
Goal: size 8/10UK, not worried about weight but BMI around 22/23 is my goal
I had fairly serious surgery in August 2012 (pelvic floor reconstruction, done vaginally) and I am cleared for all exercise.
I started w/ a personal trainer yesterday and will be training with her 2x/week. Ideally, I'd like to do some physical activity 6x/week.
Does this seem reasonable?
Monday: Fitcamp (1hr interval training inside with weights, jumprope, step, boxing)
Tuesday: PT session 1 hr
Wednesday: Hot Yoga 1hr or Zumba (1hr)
Thursday: PT session 1hr
Friday: Fitcamp (1hr)
Saturday: Pilates 1hr
I'm still off work and would like to get fit as quickly as possible. Has anyone done multiple classes and/or trained more than once a day? I'm considering doing two classes a day (for example, fit camp in the morning on some days and zumba in the evening) or even just a aquafit class (1hr) on the same day at PT session.
What do you think? Also, I can't really do a lot of impact stuff because it hurts my insides the day after (like jumping, running, etc)....

No it does not seem reasonable.
If your insides are still hurting after the high impact stuff, you should take it easy still even with the low impact stuff.
What's your hurry?0 -
I've been cleared for all exercise, but will hold off on high impact stuff (like jumping rope, running) until I'm not sore after it. I'm over twice the recommended exercise time frame (it's 6wks, I'm at 12)... none of the exercises above hurt me...
My hurry is I want to get as fit as I can before going back to work!0
