removing Sodium excess

I was excited to try my new frozen vegetables for lunch today, because I usually just have a salad, but wanted something I could heat up with winter approaching. As I tracked my Bird's Eye Asian Medley, I realized that I did not take a close enough look at the sodium content. Well over 1,000 mg! I guess I didn't think sodium would be an issue, as they were frozen, not canned. I looked into other brands like green giant and they are much better, but I did not want to waste the items that I just bought. After microwaving the bag I drained the vegetables, rinsed them in water and then drained them again. Does anyone know approximately how much sodium this gets rid of? I want to know if this is worth having for lunch, without worrying about the bloat that will surely come tomorrow if I take in this much sodium! (i'm very prone to water retention) Thanks guys!

I guess it just depends on if the stuff was cooked in the sauce. I mean removing all the sauce should cut out almost all of it - since thats where it came from in the first place.0
