Understanding the Food Diary Totals????

I'm trying to understand the food diary total. Main reason is because i gain three or four pounds in one day. After re-adjusting what my food that is tracked, I noticed that my Sodium was in the Red big time.

Soooooo my question is, how does it all break down??? I understand that I want to stay in the green, and red is bad, but is it for every 1000 in red like a 1lbs of possible stored weight?
