Hey Guys,
So I'm working out every day right now, and I really like Zumba. Or rather, I really like Zumba with my favorite instructor. I tried a new one last night so I could add another class to my schedule but she was... not great. She wasn't AWFUL, but no one could hear her (I was right next to her and I couldn't hear her), and her movements are too small/fast to really copy. The classes are small at my gym and I think I could help her improve her teaching technique.
But the question is.... Should I try to help her improve her teaching technique? I've helped friends and classmates choreograph before, but this would be kind of unsolicited. Have you ever helped an instructor improve? If so, how did you broach the subject?
Or should I just move on?
Thanks!

I would move on. I'm picky about fitness professionals, yoga instructors, etc.; but then I get annoyed easily (too peppy, bad cueing... ugh). I would give her a couple more classes to see if she was just having an off-day (we all have them) and if she's always disappointing, move on.0

I'm pretty picky, too. It's just that, if no one comes to the class, it will get cancelled, and she seems really nice. It's kind of to help her, kind of to help me.0

The instructors at my gym are usually pretty receptive to feedback or suggestions. I would approach her after class and frame as "it would be helpful for me to get the most out of this class if you.....____made bigger movements, spoke louder, etc."
Maybe she's new and so she's unsure of herself so she's quiet and not really getting into it? I know a year ago a new instructor started and I did notl like the way she rant he class, so if I saw she was covering for my regular teacher I'd leave. After a while I saw her classes were actually filling up, so I gave her another shot, and she was much better. I think she just needed time to get into her role....0
