Shin pain

I keep getting shin pain while running, or even walking at a high rate. It's not shin splints, I've had shin splints before. It feels more like muscle exhaustion, but it happens so soon and rapidly that it seems almost impossible. I mean it happens within like 4 minutes of a slow jog.

So my question is, does anyone of any remedies? Or maybe if anyone else has experienced this and knows a good exercise to solve the problem. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

    I was battling this about a month ago. I found that changing my pace (speeding up) even if for just a little bit seemed to help me get through it.
