I just figured out that when I updated my fitness goals, it changed how many calories i need to consume per day to lose 1.5 pounds a week. I started at 217 pounds, and to lose 1.5 a week, i was given 1570 calories a day. well, i have lost 32 pounds and am losing roughly a pound a week now, but , i went and changed my fitness goals to my new weight, it has cut me back to 1390 calories to lose that same 1.5 pounds, this could explain why some people stall, i guess you burn less calories per day the less weight you are.

If you have it set on automatic (recommended) versus custom, doesn't it figure it out for you?0

I *think* when I used the MFP app exclusively it changed automatically, but I would not swear to it.0

Logically, yes as you get smaller you burn less. As you get closer to goal you need to back off your pounds per week expectations.0

i had mine on automatic, and no it didnt adjust it, i adjusted it manually0
