Deficit question

I have been researching this for while but I haven't been able to find a clear answer. Which one do you consider when creating a deficit? Your BMR or TDEE? For example, given that my BMR theoretically is 2100 and my TDEE is 2600. Do I use 2100-(Calories eaten per day)=(Calories lost per day) or 2600-(Calories eaten per day)=(Calories lost per day)? Thank you.

You create your deficit from your TDEE. Many follow the idea of eating above your BMR and below TDEE.0

BMR is your floor and TDEE is your ceiling. Eat more than your BMR and less than your TDEE.0

Thank you all. I now have an idea of how where to start.0
