Anyone else cut their workout times when they log?

So we all know how accurate mfp can be when estimating calories burned during a workout, but how do you guys deal with this when logging? Personally, I don't have a heart rate monitor so I usually just cut all of my workout times in half.

I do to, except when I do 30 shred, I feel I earned those :). I don't usually eat them back anyway, so it is a bonus to my calorie day.

Nope, I just go with the estimates. I don't eat back all my exercise calories, though, unless I'm particularly ravenous that day.
  • Endomondo works really good when it comes to tracking your exercise (cardio type) and as soon as the Jawbone Up gets re-released, that will be awesome at tracking strength training metrics.

Hmmm. I'll have to check this out. I need something to track my lift days.

Several studies I've read stated that HRMs are off by 9-13%, so I subtract 20% from the calorie readout on my HRM. I leave the time the same.

Right now I'm only using cardio machines at the gym, so I just set the weight to about 15 lbs lighter than I currently am to help make up for the way they tend to overestimate calories burned. But then, I don't eat back my exercise calories. I have my daily calories set at 1500 and feel good at that level and have been losing a lot (but I just began so I know that it'll slow down soon).
