Planning to lose 45 lbs by Summer 2013!

Greetings from colorful Colorado! My name is Amanda and I'm planning to Lose 45 lbs by July 3, 2013! I chose that day because it will be my 39th birthday. I think this is a realistic and reasonable goal as it challenges me to lose about 6lbs/month.

I'm not new to weight loss, I actually lost 157 lbs several years ago. I don't want to ever have to do that again, so this time around I want to lose the weight and keep it off. I figure journaling on MFP is a good way to make that happen, even after the weight is lost.

For food, I plan to eat whole foods, which I already do mostly, I just eat too much of them! I also plan to limit, but not deny treats. I will continue with my working out 6x/week. Currently I do cardio 3x/week and strength 3x/week.

  • I'm on the same goal path as you, summer 2013 to lose 35 with diet and strength training. I lost 10 before I joined this fitness pal last week and have 25 to go....this forum and app is extremely helpful...especially having friends to help motivate...good luck!

    Welcome to MFP! I think it is fantastic that you know what success feels like (congrats on the 157!!!!)! I was able to lose about 20 pounds a few years back, but it slowly crept back. I find that the support here makes a ton of difference and I know you will be successful again!!!
