I have recently tried to get back on the waggon after last year losing 10lbs i have managed to gain it again
the problem is.... i go into the kitchen and nibble cereal, jam, cheese triangles, hot chocolate and i just cant stop
by the time ive nibbled its lunch time and i have to tell myself to skip it because ive eaten my dedicated intake already!
i know that if i was out doing things i wouldnt snack but i cant stop- the evening is even worse!!
does anybody have some helpful tips??
Thank you

Whenever you go for a snack think drink instead. Have a glass of water / cordial instead, this will fill your stomach and hopefully make you fill fuller and reduce the craving.0

Don't have it in your house. Figure out what your grocery list should be in order for you to have a healthy balanced diet for the days you are shopping for.
Make a meal plan including snacks
then buy only that food.
that way if you want something that's not in your plan you have to drive to get it.
Since I don't have a hunger mechanism (i don't get hungry... i get sick if i don't eat.) I eat 5 times a day every three hours. Having a schedule sometimes gives me the edge I need to hold out to know I only have to wait 'this long' to eat again. I also eat my veggies cold. Since I hate cooking I purchased frozen veggies: mixed, corn, peas... what ever you'd like. And i eat them frozen with my fingers. It takes longer because you're not shoving your face with a spoon. I have found I am less prone to eat just because I am bored.
Also the scale has been a big help for me. I weigh every morning. Today i was able to look at those doughnuts sitting on the counter and remember I've lost 16.4 pounds and i have 41.6 to go. I walked away from the doughnuts.0 -
Keep crap out of the house. Can't eat something that isn't there. I drink green tea at night to keep evenings snack free.0

I've been setting aside dedicated "snacks" that I know are low calorie, but also stuff that I know I will eat (so I don't waste money). This week it's been baby carrots and 1/2 a cucumber sliced up with a TINY bit of salt (till I can wean myself off lol). I find these give that "crunch" I crave sometimes. The best solution would be not to have unhealthy options in the house, however realistically that doesn't always work (especially if you are like me and have 4 adult roommates who aren't dieting).
Another solution I've tried is planning a "snacks" category when I think about what to eat that day I'm more likely then to go after those healthy things instead
What are you having the most trouble with? Is it a certain type of snack you crave? I've substituted cucumber for chips, and special k fruit crisps instead of candy/chocolate bars. Good luck, and try to resist!0
