Diet, as in, "Is that on your Diet? I don't want to ruin your Diet... " screw off. It is food. Meal plan, decision.., etc. I spent too many weeks inpatient and Aetna spent too much on me to pretend my issues with food are going to fit in the word Diet. Mind your own be rigged business.

    Diet. Irks me.

    ANY word that people use----incorrectly

    effect for affect
    supposably / supposively for supposedly
    their / there / they're
    know and now
    specific / pacific
    our / are
    then / than

tooken? WTF is TOOKEN???? I work with a woman that uses this when talking with clients. I find it incredibly disconcerting in any setting but it just seems worse in a professional setting.

I dislike the superfluous words people add at the beginning of sentences like basically, personally, in all honesty, in my opinion, to cut a long story short. Other grammatical mistakes like of instead of have...I love the English language and people totally kill it, ugh! Lots of slang words and text speak really annoy me, call me olde fash...(boom ting, what the hell is that all about?! It sounds rude and my ten year old son uses it a lot)

Mostly I hate it when people hate words. Though I will say that I hate it when people use words incorrectly, or make-up words taht don't exist in a failed attempt to sound intelligent.

I like panties, I think it sexy!

but I dislike commode (sounds really dirty, note to real estate agents, don't use that word when describing the bathroom to a client) and wifee or wifey (however you spell it since it's not a word)
