ever tried dr oz 48 hr detox??

Heard a couple of people talking about Dr. Oz cleanse and was wondering if anyone had tried it. I'm alway sceptical of such things but a detox does sound nice. Like having a fresh start.

There is no scientific evidence that you can "detox" your body. Your liver and kidneys already do that. There are no magic toxins coming out from the depths of your body because of a special diet or drink. So yes, you have every right to be skeptical!

Honestly, whatever Dr. Oz says, my general rule is to then do the opposite.

But also, as long as you are eating plenty of veggies, some fruit, and healthy fats, your body is going to process everything smoothly and easily out of your body. No need to detox it.

If you have severe liver and kidney problems, detoxing may be beneficial. But foods and juices do not work. You'll need to connect yourself to a machine for a few hours that will detox your blood.

This is very true. While a 'fresh start' is nice in theory, it really just doesn't exist. Just eat right, drink water, and move.

You are right to be skeptical! (I can't believe he suggests that just because a practice has been "around for centuries" that it has any validity; burning witches was around for centuries fortunately that practice has been abandoned)
