Hi
Wanted to ask you people, that do you know, not only calorie counting, but nutrient tracking for your body helps better weight loss.
For eg: If people with lactose intolerance eat under calorie goal, but, when they consume lactose, their body weight or say inches increases. Y? Coz their body is incapable of digesting lactose...
The same way, few people get thin even after counting cakes in diet, but others remain fat...
All this depends on your body's capability to digest any particular nutrient.
I just wanted to say this to you
Happy weight loss

Your example has absolutely nothing what so ever to do with the suggestion you offered.
Additionally, it has been well known to pretty much everyone on this site that you should take into account your macro and micro nutrients.
Finally, not being able to digest something actually makes weight loss easier. This is because your body cannot process the food and thus cannot take in the calories. It will simply slide through you (corn is a great example).0 -
I never meant that!!
few people eat MANY things thinking it is OK if they eat, coz it is under their calorie goal...
One friend of mine drinks a 500cals coffe and eats only dinner .
It was for people like that...
They feel that counting calories is enough.
So, just Asked...0 -

corn calories most certainly do get used by the body...0 -

Um..yeah. What passes through the body ("slides through" as you say) is the insoluble fiber...The body most certainly will extract the energy from the carbohydrates (ie: starch) before it reaches the end of the large intestine.0 -
Wow I am truly amazed how mean some folks really are in the is world! Wow!0

Of course it does lol. I mentioned corn because it is high in insoluble fiber which doesn't get processed by the body. I didn't say that some foods are 100% completely unused by the body.0 -
not true. your body needs calories too. not eating slows your motabolism.0

Yes.... It does. This causes depression, low self-esteem and eating disorders...
I was concerned that few people eat things like cake or so keeping in mind the "calorie" factor and not the "what bad it can do to your body" stuff.
This post was absolutely not for the people who already know it.
i found few people posting such stuff, so thought to help out...
My bad0 -
Yes, glucose, lactose, etc are types of sugar.... Thus Nutrients0

OH! Good!!
And NEVER underestimate anyone without knowing the truth,
.
So what if I'm from Mumbai?
My English is good enough to be loved and praised by others in different social networking site...
And my Englis is really appreciated by people from UK and USA.
But, I apologize for the fact that I couldn't give anyone good advice....0 -
It depends on person to person...0

I understand what you meant ! thanks
also, your english is fine.0 -
also it is 100% true that not everyone on MFP knows this.
I have people on my friends list who eat fast food EVERY SINGLE DAY, but feel their diet is sufficient because they've eaten under their calorie goal.
Which I believe is what the thread creator was referring to.0 -
