Hello all! I just joined MFP and I love the site so far. I just have a question for anyone who may have some advice. Im sure I'm not the only one who has struggled with this. Ever since I had my daughter I have had extra belly fat that Ican't get rid of. Does anyone have any tips on how they lost belly fat? Thanks for the advice.

You just have to work on lowering your weight in general. Once you lower your body fat your belly will begin to go. Usually that's the last place women lose from. Unfortunately you can't spot reduce any area.0

Yea, I lose from my upper body first, making my shoulders & chest look all boney but there's still a stomach and thighs going on haha0

I've heard that abs are made 20% in the gym and 80% in the kitchen. From what I've been told, you have to eat a really clean diet with lots of lean protein to get that coveted flat stomach.
Anyone else want to weigh in on this?0 -
DIET DIET DIET is huge w/ belly fat. Also good work outs that help "target" belly fat are high intensity interval workouts, or HIIT. Try googling HIIT treadmill works outs.

It's already been said, but really the only way is to reduce overall body fat.
It's you genetics that decides where fat is stored, and also in what order it goes on/comes off. There is no exercise you can use to "target" certain areas. In fact, if you do things like crunches, etc. you may find that your stomach sticks out even further because you are building muscle under your fat layer (this happened to me).
If you are like me though, you will have to keep reducing until you are a skeleton to finally get at the tummy fat. The solution for this is weight training to build muscle mass. When you get more into it, you can go into bulk and cut cycles to build muscle and reduce fat in stages.0
