Finding Motivation

I've never been a self-motivating person. I played football in Middle School/High School and lifted everyday but had no motivation to actually care about it. Thus, after 6 years of lifting, my bench was 150 (as an offensive lineman.) I have recently graduated from college and put on about 45 lbs within the past year.

Again, my lack of motivation kicked in and I hadn't gone to the gym for about a year. It wasn't until about two weeks ago that I began to have an outside influence to get me to the gym. I met a girl who is amazing and told me I didn't have to lose weight because I didn't need to. I'm 5'11 205 lbs. I have been killing it at the gym recently but now I seem to be reliant on talking to her before I go. If I don't get a chance to chat with her before, I am lazy and just throw weights around.

Basically, I want to know how to find motivation consistently and not have to rely on outside forces.
