Question re: Hunger related to working out

I'm sure this, or some variation of it, has been asked a million times but here goes...does anyone else have an issue with being extremely hungry after they work out? It seems as though everytime I leave the gym, after working out, I'm completely ravenous...I mean starving...I'm sure it doesn't help that my favorite Mexican resturant is right next door...great marketing tool there guys, thanks so much. I usually eat lunch at work around 1pm, then I go to the gym after I leave work, around 3:30-4. So far, I'm only doing cardio, haven't added weights to my program yet....mainly because I feel stupid, not knowing what I'm doing, around all the men in the gym, and, I'm usually there for an hour or an hour & a half. By the time I leave, my stomach is growling so loud other people can hear it, lol. Any suggestions to this? Is there where a protien shake (prior to working out) or something would come in handy? Is this part of the reason people drink protien shakes? Or that shakeology stuff? I'm still so new at all of this that I have no idea what I'm doing, lol. Any advice would be greatly appreciated...just take it easy on the newbie, lol. Thanks y'all

You will get a lot of different answers for what works for different people. However, for me, it's just about having a plan. I have been in MANY different workout routines over the past few years and regardless of when I'm working out, I just need to plan. If you know you are going to be starving when you walk out of the gym, take a banana with you AND know what you are going to have for dinner when you get home (in order to avoid the Mexican Restaurant).
I do my menu for a week at a time on Sundays. And it's up to you if you want to work the Mexican Restaurant into your menu for the week.0
