Things that make ya go "hmm..."

I work in retail and always have funny stories about stupid/crazy things customer do. I know I'm not the only one, so I want to hear your stories. I'll start out with one of the most recent ones.

My department manager and I were putting up freight in the men's department when my dept manager (we'll call her LaShay) noticed a man grabbing one of the racks and staring at the ceiling like he was terrified.
LaShay: "Sir, you finding everything okay?"
Man: (still clinging to the rack) "Uh, there's a bird!"
LaShay: "Uh, yes sir, they get in here sometimes. They ain't gonna hurt you."
Man: (points to the bird) "Well, you need to get it down."
LaShay: "No, I'M not getting it down. I ain't animal control."
Man: (still clinging to the rack starts to bend down and hide among the clothes as if the bird is trying to attack him and raises his voice) "It's going to get us sick. It's dropping feathers!" (stares out at the floor, eyes wide)
LaShay: "Uh, sir, where's the feather?"
Man: "It's dropping them! We all gonna get bird flu if you don't get it down!"
LaShay: "Sir, I already told you, I ain't getting that bird down. And how you gonna get bird flu from a feather? What, you gonna pick it up and lick it!?"
Man: (slowly stands up while giving the LaShay the evil eye and walks away)

That crazy guy had me laughing ALL DAY! Ok, now it's your turn to tell about crazy people you've encountered.

I've worked in retail and met some incredibly insane people. And jerks. I had a guy tell me he REALLY appreciated the security guard following him around (sarcastically). I looked him straight in the eye and said "Sir, this is a sporting goods store. We don't HAVE security". He then said I was lying and a man in red was following him around the whole time. Mind you all employees wore green shirts, khaki pants. I then replied that it was another customer, and unfortunately I could not tell that man to stop looking at the items. Or the woman who decided to pee all over the dressing room floor, leave her soaked underwear in there, and steal a new pair of Under Armour.

So true, it does make you wonder about people. When I worked at Kohl's, people peeing in the fitting room carpets was considered normal. People tripping over racks, getting hurt and cutting themselves was "normal" what wasn't normal was when a man somehow cut himself bad enough where blood was dripping on the carpet and he had to inform management that he had AIDS so that the area could be roped off and a special clean up crew could be called to properly clean the carpet.
