Coffee Protein Shake

I'd like to make a morning smoothie with my cold press coffee and vanilla protein powder? (possible add cocoa powder too!)...
does anyone have a recipe that they like for such a drink?

I just put my ice coffee, a scoop of protein powder and a little creamer in my coffee. Shake in blender ball, let sit over ice for a bit and drink. Delish!

Thanks! I am just gonna start playing with it and see what I like! I have the amazing greens grass powder, in chocolate, so I might add that too!

I sort of wing it :)

This is how I make my thick shakes:

    1c skim milk
    2 scoops protein
    1c ice
    Strong cold coffee, couple ounces

    I like cinnamon too

Blend till mixed and ice is crushed to your liking.

This makes a very thick shake;I sometimes add extra milk.

    How this helps!

I use cottage cheese, protein powder, ice, coffee, and either Trader Joe's Chai Latte mix (or their new Pumpkin Chai mix) - the cottage cheese blends smooth and makes it nice and creamy, and give extra protein. You could throw some chocolate mix of some sort in there instead. Lots of possibilities.

I don't use whey protein, but a vegetarian blend derived from pea, hemp, and artichokes called PlantFusion. Its unsweetened, but blended with a little ice, soy or almond milk, a tbsn of honey, tbsn of creamy peanut butter, and a banana. It's delicious and keeps you full. I usually mix one up and drink it breakfast, or after the gym.

I don't use whey either... I use the spiru-tein simply natural vanilla... and I LOVE it because it is unsweetened and it makes a thicker drink.

I have never heard of plantfusion...I will check it out.

Lately I've been enjoying a shake that is roughly half cold coffee, half milk and a scoop or two of vanilla protein shake.

Stuff like this is really so much personal preference. Just start tossing stuff in and you'll find out through trial and error what you like best.
