I did a workout today and burned about 250 calories, but my daily intake of food is 1200
Would I have to burn 1200 to lose weight?
Can someone explain this to me?

No, you would just need to eat another 250 (your burnt calories) so that you net 1200 calories for the day. You shouldn't be eating less than that.0

You are forgetting that your body needs calories just to survive. And to function in your daily activities. For many people that is more than 1200. So if you are eating that, without exercising, you are in a deficit.
