normally, i drink a lot of water (in between 8 and 12 glasses a day). but when i drink milk during the day (for the calcium), i don't hit my water goal. argh! frustration!

    Milk is mostly water. I count all fluids in my "water" count.

    I count my milk and herbal tea as part of my water intake. Only when I've had beer/wine/soda do I not count it (and I drink these maybe once every two months).

  • Cow's milk is 87% water, so if it were me, I would still include a bit more water if I were counting it as water.

    Also, don't simply count it as water, make sure you are entering it in your food diary. 80 calories and 12 g of sugar per cup can add up quickly if you aren't keeping track.

    Doesn't it stink that everything adds up so darn quickly if we aren't keeping track??? :)
