What do you snack on during a movie? I can only eat so many peanuts.

Nothing. Never understood why people automatically feel the need to eat just because they are watching a film.

I agree with the person who said "nothing" but sometimes hearing people munching on popcorn for 2 hours makes me hungry. I bring a little bag of snack mix with almonds, peanuts, pretzels, m&m's and dried fruit. Sometimes, skittles in place of M&M's. About 1/2 - 3/4 cup. Its better than sharing a buttered popcorn with my husband. We normally share a diet coke or a beer depending on which movie theater we are at. I'm a candy lover so I'm always tempted by the huge bag of sour patch kids and twizzlers! yum!

Flying saucers!! If you eat them "properly" (i.e. disect them!!) then a bag lasts the whole film and they're about 60cals per big bag!

Popcorn!!! As we hardly ever go to the cinema (too expensive for mostly crappy films, lol), we watch dvds at home and make our own, hardly any fat and as much or little sweet or salt as you want!!! :-)

    ^^^ This
  • Eat a small meal before the movie and you won't have to worry about munching :). Carrots are great in my opinion because they're a pretty good source of fiber and it doesn't take a lot to fill you up. You can even make some home made humas out of chick peas and a little bit of olive oil and spices and bring that along too. Just my two cents!

Agreed. Plus, it's annoying as hell hearing others "snack" in a movie theater. That is why I normally don't go anymore.

If I am watching a movie at home...usually nothing. But at the theatre, well...I have Monday's off. Monday normally starts with 2 hours at the gym and at least a 1,000 calorie burn. If there is a movie I want to see I go around noon and have a large popcorn with flavored salt (no butter) and a large diet coke. I love it! I've probably had that as my Monday lunch for 75% of the Mondays' since I started this. It works for me and i love movie theatre popcorn!
