Hey Everyone!

I'm new to the whole fitnesspal thing. I was food journaling on fitday, but I have to say, this is ten times better! Anyhow, today officially marks a month since I started my diet. I'm calling it a "lifestyle change" because I usually fail at diets. Somehow, in my weird way of thinking, if I call it something else, I figure maybe I'll stick to it! I'm 24, married, and a college student taking courses online. As you can imagine my life is not very active in terms of getting up and moving around.

All of my friends are younger than me, and they're all away in college. The ones that are my same age live elsewhere and I'm kind of alone in my whole weight-loss journey. My hubby is supportive and with me every step of the way, but he gets major pizza withdrawals and well.. need I say more? lol.

Cheesy as it sounds, I'm kinda looking to form a little "online support group" to keep me motivated to reach my goals and vice versa. So, if you're interested, feel free to add me as a friend and all that that implies, and I'll do the same!

Good luck to all of you. :)

That's one of the funniest post headings I've read. Ahh... the joys of situational humor ;)

I can relate with you (though I'm much older). Online classes have a tendency to create a more sedentary environment. While your hubby (it’s wonderful he is supportive) is at work just turn the music on and be-bop or pop-it and enjoy some circulatory movements while or in-between papers. I have an old broken swivel chair that I have at the computer – it has no back to it and I sit here swiveling to the music mostly out of habit now. I realize you may have a laptop but that doesn’t stop you from moving. As far as support, there are many supportive individuals here on MFP. Happy journey!

For on-line support. You've come to the best site. Look for a group to join (for i.e. SIXERS), where you can post there daily and get to know other people and get the support you need. WELCOME
