Are you of the
"I have entire birthday weeks" camp?

or the

"screw it, I'm just a year older and one more step towards the grave" camp?

I have birthday weeks !:")

My BF and I are ten days apart, so that entire stretch calls for a little extra celebration.

Luckily it just passed and the hangover has finally withdrawn.

    Happy birthday to all... :flowerforyou:

I'm of the "I don't really care about the birthday nonsense, but this seems like a good excuse to throw a huge party, sooo grab a beer and let's do this" camp.

I'm not a pessimist about my birthday...but I don't think it's a huge deal either. I like a big fun drunken weekend and I'm good to go...

    Come on Feb 25th!

My husband and I have a lot of friends that do not really mix too well, (our b'day is 1 day apart) so we have a few birthday celebrations. Plus the family celebrations. It's also in December so having any sort of celebration ON our birthday is next to impossible. Except this year! YAY!

The day itself doesn't usually mean much to me but the last few years one of my girlfriends and I have made it a tradition to take a long weekend and go somewhere fun during September because we both have birthdays in the month.

Depends... usually I don't celebrate as its too close to christmas- never really have even had a birthday party. My family does a birthday supper and thats about it... I don't make a habit of telling people when my brithday is unless they are a good friend... so my co-workers don't even know when its my birthday...

Edited because responding to forum posts on my phone results in me quoting when I dont want to.

I have birthday weeks because my husband's is two days before mine. However, VERY few people know when my birthday is. I just don't tell people the date. I have one every year, though.

I get older every day. One day closer to the grave. Nothing to celebrate.

I've always enjoyed pointing out to people that you begin to die the moment you're born.

    Always the optimist!

I get a 'birthday week' and so does my fella, for the week you get 6 small presents and a big one on your birthday. You also get whatever you want in the kitchen all week and whatever you want in the bedroom. Birthday week FTW!

My wife makes a big deal out of birthdays. So we get birthday weeks by default. If it were up to me, I would barely celebrate mine (though probably still make a big deal out of hers because she enjoys it so much).

Somewhere in the middle. I do wish people made a bigger deal of it than they do, though. It's the day after Christmas, so it's usually a disappointment.

I celebrate Birthdaypalooza for the entire month of July!

I have the best friends in the world because they totally indulge me in all my birthday silliness.

It is always good to celebrate not being dead. I use it as a tool to force people to go out drinking with me.

I like to have at least three days of birthday fest. I'm still going to be demanding several days of attention when I'm 80. Possibly more, since I'll be old and everyone should cater to me.

hey I'm Feb 24th :D My only stipulation is that I never work on my birthday. Never have, never will.
  • I'm thinking next week I'll just have the one day.... well, and dinner with my parents, kids and sisters one other night. No big she-bang here this year.....

My husband & I are only 2 days apart. But we only celebrate on the day between. He hates cake, so it's always pie. Hoping I can convince him to get a no-sugar added pie next year.
