Hello my name is Cary and I am 28 yrs. old. I had galbladder surgery back in December 2011 and after that I gained some weight. My mom told me she was worried and I told her I was fine. I had also just started dating a guy and that didn't help either. We ate out all the time, it was rich savory foods at that. I then was approached by my cousin who works for a weight loss group and she talked me into trying this weight loss shake regimen that really seems to be doing the trick. I weighted in at 333.8 lbs on Nov 1, 2012 and today is 16 days later and I am down 16 lbs. I eat around 1,500 calories a day.
My boyfriend also bought us a gym membership to the YMCA and we do that 3 times a week. I usually walk on the treadmill and swim in the salt water pool. I love it! I feel better now that I am eating healthier and exercising.
My diet consist of 2 shakes a day plus 2 snacks and a 400-600 calorie meal.
My favorite meal is sushi and I was very happy to find that sushi isn't as high in calories as I thought it was, so sometimes we go out for sushi but most of the time we stay in and cook goos meals.
The thing that surprised me the most is that my life didn't have to change or end once I went on a diet, like I had thought it did. I was very worried about Thanksgiving coming up and not getting to eat out anymore. But to my surprise I can have a healthier Thanksgiving with my family and almost every restaurant offers a healthy menu or healthy options on their menus. I love being able to go out when a friend asks me to and not have to worry about them having something there I can eat. Eating is all about portion controls and making healthier decisions. I was glad that I didn't stop living just to lose weight. I love the convenience of being able to track my meals, exercise, and recipes of here. This site is a big help.
I hope everyone out there is on their journies to success and that we can encourage and help each other out during this rocky time. I look forward to reading your posts and replies.
