Pedometer for Iphone

Hello,

I am travelling to France and Spain for the next 2 weeks and will be doing a good deal of walking. I am looking for an Iphone app that can track my walking and provide an estimate for calorie consumption. There are over 250 in the app store so I'm wondering if any one has recommendations on which to get, and why? Free preferably, but I don't dishing out a few bucks if it really is worth it!

Thanks!

I don't think any are particularly accurate. They also drain your battery so you may not be able to have it on all day. STRIIV is fun but it may be better buying a pedometer seperatly.

    I have a Tanita PD-724 3-Axes Pedometer which is £25.
Which is quite accurate. It won't sync anywhere but is good at calculating distance, steps and caliries. There's also the fitbit and the STRIIV play or the Fuelband and Bodyfitmedia/ bodybug if you want to pay more.

I used my Polar FT4 and also carried my iphone to see how accurate the jog log app was. I was surprised how close the counts were, I did this walking in my neighborhood. My husband uses runkeeper on his android, accurate too!

I use the Striiv app for my iPhone and it definitely keeps me motivated.
  • Thanks for your answers guys! I ended up using one just called Pedomter, its purple, seemed to work well enough to give me an idea of how many steps + miles I was walking in a day.
