My NSV Day!!

A couple of things to share...I finally fit into a pair of real jeans. You know, the kind that button and zip! I have worn elastic waists for over 10 years. I noticed that eating is a little harder without the built in expansion!! This is good!! I saw two of my sisters today and one said "Wow! You look smaller! You should wear clothes that fit more often!" Or something to that effect. Then my husband wanted to go out to dinner. I was a little afraid. We ordered our food. I asked for grilled veggies instead of a potato. Score one!! Then the waitress said "Oh, you get the soup and salad bar." Oh no! Well, I thought, I will have a salad. So I go to the bar and I put some salad mix on my plate and add some raw spinach. Then I throw on some cucumber and some green onion. I saw chopped grilled chicken so I added that. Then I got to the dressings. I pondered my choices and then I noticed some dressing packets. Nutritional information!! Yay!! Then I quickly put them back down. Hmmm, now what to do. Then I noticed olive oil and red wine vinegar. So I gave a little drizzle of each to my salad. Then I breezed by the creamy looking potato salad and cole slaw. I sailed by the velvety, rich chocolate pudding!! I went to our table and sat down. I ate my yummy salad and realized I was getting a little bit full. Then my dinner came. I ate my lovely grilled California Blend, and my four beautifully grilled asparagus spears. Then I eyed my steak. My eight ounce steak covered in grilled portabella mushrooms. I ate half and brought the rest home! Steak and eggs for breakfast anyone!! I was very proud of myself. I came home and entered everything into my food tracker and I still came in under calories today!! I am learning, and I am liking it!!! Just wanted to share!!

Aww that's so great, good for you! Eating out can be such a challenge (at least for me). It's always a wonderful feeling to have all your hard work pay off in smaller clothes, onward and downward;)

Fabulous! Successfully eating out is hard! I avoid it as much as possible. You're doing great. I'm sure you're really proud to see all your hard work paying off. I also avoided pants that weren't elastic for a long time. Sweats & yoga pants were my best friend...lol.

Wow what a day! Great job!

There should be a way to bottle this feeling so you can take a sip if you're ever feeling down.
