There is nothing attractive about that and I too thought it was a misshapen weiner. Ewwww.... Is that a bicep on your arm or are you happy to see me?
@jkestens63, judging by your ticker I think we're all happy to see you! Let me take a sec and congratulate you on YOUR weight loss! :flowerforyou:0 -
Regarding weightlifting, I would start off with starting strength or stronglifts 5x5. Focus on the foundations.
.
FS, this is solid advice for most people, but the OP specifically said he would not be using any barbells. DID YOU NOT READ THE FINE PRINT IN THE DISCLAIMERS SECTION?
note to OP: THAT is what me trolling looks like0 -

wow, pretty entertaining thread. don't really have anything to add to it, other than to each his own. from what i've read, seems like someone is looking for useful advice, as we all have. i say useful b/c saying he doesn't have room for barbells will alter the advice given. and for someone to offer the advice of, "buy a barbell" isn't useful. also seems like someone who has more background in lifting, and perhaps has been at this fitness thing longer than the op, wanted to offer his advice until what he wanted to offer wasn't what the op was looking for. i don't see anything wrong with either of those points of view.
now it seems like a pissing contest that is rather entertaining.
best of luck to all involved. just remember, don't pee in to the wind.0 -
