Blood Type Diet ?!

Hi

Just wondered if anyone knew much about this at all?

My colleague in the office was talking about it yesterday and it got me thinking. I don't know whether it's just coincidental, but I'm A+ and eat in the main a diet based on vegetables and seafood... I very rarely crave meat and feel satisfied when I eat. She was saying her blood type is O and she doesn't feel satisfied until she's had meat in her diet and stays away from dairy and stuff like that as it doesn't agree with her.

Anyone had experience of this?

H

No experience, but after checking my blood type this week, i did read up about it.

at the end of the day, its calories in vs calories out. all of the different types expect you to cut or minimise certain food groups. you will eventually lose weight if you do that. :)

read up about blood and personality type - the japanese fervently believe in this and have many many books about it!

well.....you dont log your food every day and when you do, you dont ever go over 1200 and are usually way too low

before you start doing "special" diets, try to eat somewhat nomal first and that would mean eating enough calories to properly fuel your body

I tried it several years ago, but some of my favorite foods are on my No list, so I couldn't stick to it.
  • There is no magic diet.

Basing your food selection on blood type is like basing your choice of underwear on your uncles lawnmower.

Edit: in other words, I would discard this idea.

This theory has been debunked. There has been enough gene mixing in populations to disregard it.
