How can people drink so much water! I am like never thirsty unless of cours I have a high bloodsugar because Im type 1 diabetic. I've used MIO water enhancer - it's good. But I still never have the desire to drink anything. 1 coffee and a sip of pop or water satisfies me. I don't even need a drink when I have a meal. What is wrong with me???? lol. Any ideas on how i can start a water habit???

me too, albeit I'm not diabetic.
usually I just force myself to drink, you don't need to drink a glass of water at once. you can drink the rest later if you don't feel like drinking. just make sure you drink enough water.0 -
i'm in the same position!! i swear, the only liquids i will willingly drink are sugar free ribena (because it's 20 calories per 500 ml diluted), flavored sparkling spring water and alcohol. i don't know what's wrong with me or my water, but i'm curious to see how other people deal with this issue!0

Looking at your diary you eat a lot of watery foods oranges, apples, celery, lettuces etc... Some people that have a diet high in less dense foods like what you eat usually satiates their thirst.
Dont worry about it... If you were eating nothing but meats, cheeses, fiberous dry fruits and veggies and not thirsty then I would be worried but you are getting plenty of water -0 -
Keep water on you at all times. When you remember to drink don't just take a sip but have a few chugs and when you finish the glass refill it. I used to never drink but following this now I drink just because it is there and often find I have drank my eight cups way before the end of the day. Cardio makes me really hot and sweaty so I drink a lot throughout my cardio work out without even thinking about it. You have to make a choice to drink more and stick to it, force it until it becomes natural. :drinker:0

When I first started, I set up reminders in my Outlook appointments at work. After a few weeks, it became second nature. I have a 32 ounce water cup that I use. I usually drink a full one through my lunch, then refill and drink most, if not all, of it again after lunch. So that's how I make sure to get 64 oz a day!0

And this is best to get your water by eating it or so I have heard so you may actually be getting a lot of your water from the way/things you eat. Good Advice0 -
Sometimes we lose our perception to be thirsty. I suggest you just drink water whether you are thirsty or not, just because your body needs it.0

The whole drink 8 glasses of water a day thing is a myth. Your body needs fluids but it doesn't matter if it comes from fruits and veggies, soup, coffee, milk on cereal, whatever. If you're never thirsty then your body is getting what it needs from other sources. Drinking excessive amounts of water only tasks your kidneys unnecessarily but it does create a whole industry for those who produce water bottles and all those flavorings!0
