Busy soccer mom needs some friends and suppport

I'm new to MFP. Five days now. First day did not go well, I had no idea how many calories i was consuming daily. Doing better since i made a plan for the 1200 cals. Does eveyone use their extra exercise cals or stick with the 1200?:flowerforyou:

  • Hi and welcome! My Dr. and nutritionist have set me up on a plan to eat around 1500 a day. For a while I was eating back my exercise calories, but I wasn't really losing anything. I think it's a personal choice, but I usually do not eat them back, and my nutritionist advised me it was up to me if I wanted to or not, and if I did it would just mean I lost a bit slower (like .5lb-1lb compared to 1.5-2lb per week). Now if I know I'm going out to dinner or to a party or something, I may fit in some extra workout time so I have them there to use if I choose. It's like caloric insurance :) Good luck and feel free to add me! I would love to support each other through this.
