    Haters gon' hate....

That's just the way I look at it....aforementioned comment about someone with 5 lbs to lose has a goal that is just as important to them than someone like myself looking at 60-somethin'...
I can dig it, but damn I wish I only had 5 lbs to lose....(at least that's my mind tells me).
    Just trying to be honest!!

There's a group on here u can join called Not-so-heavy girls. Fits right into the category you're referring too. Might be a better fit for u! :)

It is possibly the biggest misconception that women lose weight for men. Let me tell you, all a woman really needs to get a man is a vagina and confidence, both of which have nothing to do with weight. It's really quite easy to impress men. Impressing ourselves is much harder, but self love is the path to a much, much greater reward.

This is why there are ugly hookers! On a side note...I love your whole post!

I searched in groups with that title and nothing came up.

    Edit: I found it: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/499-not-that-heavy-girls

The ATM workout should be preceded by a personality transplant. Exercise has its limits.

I love MFPs skinny folks. I am learning from them everyday.

Thank you. ( Not that I'm skinny.) But anyone who has maintained her or his weight well into middle age has developed a mindset and habits conducive to maintenance.

By the time I started getting active on the forums, I had less than 20 pounds to lose, and with the exception of maybe one or two grumps, everyone has been extremely supportive.

That said, there are some people with little to lose that become dangerously obsessed with the number on the scale, or the gap between their thighs, the size label on their jeans, etc. I'm not going to be a sugar-coating cheerleader to everyone... sometimes telling people their goals and methods of achieving those goals aren't healthy or sustainable IS being supportive. Sadly, they don't always see it that way.
