Help! Circumventing sodium until Grocery Day?

Salutations all. I've been on my journey on and off extensively for a long time. I fell off the wagon but I'm hopping back on. No use crying over spilt milk, so to speak. But I can't go grocery shopping until at least Monday, probably even Thursday due to so many appointments/plans/business.

The problem is all I have in my pantry is crap! So, between canned corn, bologna, and boxed mac and cheese... My best option is what exactly? I do have some milk in the fridge too. I love milk. Literally that is ALL I have. But I'm concerned about sodium with the corn. So is there a way to circumvent the sodium intake? If I drink EXTRA water will that help? I have enough cans to literally last me a week....

Yes, drinking water will flush the sodium right out of your system (pun intended!). Drink several extra glasses and it should be a non-issue.

And the bologna and mac and cheese have tremendous amounts of sodium as well, btw. Lots and lots of water.

Do the best you can with what you have on hand until you can get to the store. No reason not to start today.

High sodium for a brief period isn't exactly a big deal. Carry on.

Put the corn in a strainer and rinse the corn off with water. U will wash a lot of the sodium away. Plus just drink extra water.

Rinsing canned veggies and beans with water will eliminate some of the sodium.

Sodium gets me every time. IT's very difficult to keep it low. Do the best you can until grocery day, but understand that even after grocery day you're going to fight sodium. it's in EVERYTHING!!! Always drink plenty of water, and balance your sodium intake with plenty of potassium.

Thanks everyone. That pretty much fairly alleviates my worries. :) I appreciate it! I'll just drink a crapton of extra water to compensate and try to pick out healthier varieties when I make my next store trip.

Just rinse the canned stuff thoroughly. And drink water.
