Running vs Biking

I've been running 40-50km a week and the longest race I've done is 21km thus far. I plan on running more in the future but as of now, there's a cycling event coming up and I am wondering if my running routine would be transferable to a stamina/endurance in biking.
If I could run 21km, could I possibly finish say 48km of biking? What's the equation like or am I trying to compare apples with oranges here? I am really curious to know how a distance in running gets converted to the distance of cycling.
Do let me know your thoughts.

Probably translates pretty well. But you shouldn't jump on a bike and try to race without biking a bit in preparation. The muscles you use are different. Your butt needs to get use to the seat, your back to the stance, etc.0

Biking is harder for me than running but I have a crappy bike though.0

~ I would suggest you get out there and see how well you handle the difference between these two completely different forms of exercise. I am an avid biker ... I love it ! I sometimes do a 46 mile ride just for the pure pleasure of taking in the fresh ocean salt air ... but when it comes to running ... I struggle with just a few miles ! I don't know if one is easier than the other to adapt to ... but I do know I would never just sign up for a 5k ... without training first !
Grab a bike, put on a helmet ... and it the pavement ! The only way to know ... is to test it !
Best of luck !
