YOU are the reason that you can do this.

My story: I have PCOS, and therefore am battling sugar cravings around the clock. I have been struggling with disordered eating and BDD for years. I know exactly how to lose the weight, and seldom let anyone get in my way of achieving it. Unfortunately, some of the time it's not who, but WHAT stops me from achieving my goals. And it always comes down to my lack of self control, low self esteem and those damn cravings!!

As a veteran member of the MFP and the weight loss game, I know exactly how freaking hard losing weight can be. How devastating it feels when all your hard work doesn't seem to show up on the scale. When you have to get guilt tripped by friends when not indulging at nights out. When it seems like you're at the end of your rope and you just can't bloody look at a stupid bowl of salad for a second longer!!!

Well guess what? IT IS ALWAYS WORTH IT!!!

YOU are worth it!!!

Nothing worth having was ever easy to get!!

This is my FOURTH time around losing the weight. I nearly kept it off the third time around, but I let an emotionally destructive relationship get the better of me, and I decided that that 'sugar high' was going to make the weight gain worth it.

But it didn't!!

Remember that you are doing it for you. Don't let anyone sabotage you. Especially that damned extra piece of cake. Remember that you can eat whatever you want anyway, you've just got to be smart about it. That's the best thing about MFP!! :)

Just think that sometime in the future, you are going to be the person you've always wanted to be on the outside, and it's all up to you!!

You CAN do it. Yesyoucanyesyoucanyesyoucan.

Well said, I also have PCOS, and have struggled with weight since my teens. It really is a b*tch to drop the weight. I started out in January helping a friend to lose weight, but then she gave up and I kept going and lets just say she got insanely jealous and other issues, ended our long time friendship. I don't brag, except on here. If someone ask me how I'm dropping the weight I tell them. It is possible and I haven't even set foot in a gym, I use MFP and try to eat healthy, I take my daily vitamins, I walk laps & run bleachers at the local high school track, and I do Zumba 3 nights a week @ a local church for free! I'm so proud of myself and I am doing this for ME now and I am loving the results!

I so needed to read this today - Thank You! :flowerforyou:
  • thanks do much just what i needed to read :) sometimes it feels like it would be so much easier to give up!!! i've to lost weight many ties before and always have put it back on :(
  • This is great inspiration!!! The only reason I am not where I want to be and have always put the weight back on is because I lose sight of how important it truly is to be healthy and respect myself. Being healthy and choosing to make the right and good choice for your body measures how much a person respects and takes care of themselves! THANK YOU for this :)
