I'm going under the knife tomorrow to remove some glandular tissue. Heavy weightlifting wont be done for 5-6 weeks.
But since I am in the middle of a cut, is it safe to keep going with my diet or should I increase calories to maintenance for the first few days?

In my opinion, right now your body needs to focus on recovering from that.
If I were you, I'd up my calories to maintenance for a week or so and then gradually cut again.0 -
Your surgeon will probably recommend maintenance during recovery. Your body needs the cals to heal.0
