Xbox 360 or Ps3??
I'm thinking about buying a game console for my son... probably my husband and me too lol
Anyways, I know nothing about games today... I still have my Nintendo and Super nintendo from forever ago lol Looking to finally upgrade.
My son likes anything Mario (he's 5) and probably puzzles and learning games. My husband and I like action/adventure/military games.
Can anybody tell me the differences between the two or put in their 2 cents about one or both of the consoles? I understand both can play movies as well, or can do netflix and play music and all kinds of stuff... true?
Anyways, any opinions would be great.
Thank you all.

Well, Mario games can really only be found on the Wii I think. But the Xbox is better for like action/adventure/shooting games, since the Wii is more family oriented. I know you didn't mention Wii, but it's the only console right now that has the Mario games, that and Game Cube. We have a Wii for the kids and an Xbox 360 for ourselves. Also, the Wii can not play Dvd's, at least mine can't. I don't know if the newer ones can.0

The PS3 has a lot of what you're looking for- you can also play bluray discs on them. The WiiU/Wii system is VERY kid friendly, I doubt within the first month anyone would use it except for your child. For yourself, action/adventure/military games that can be played online will be free on PS3, but you'll have to pay to access online play on an xbox. Unless you are incredibly drawn to some xbox exclusive games (Google them if you're curious) I would suggest either the PS3 or the WiiU. As a family unit you'll enjoy the PS3 more.0

XBox you pay for online play. If this is something you expect to do, get a PS3. As someone already said, Mario games are only on the Wii. However, Little Big Planet is a good series of games for children.0

If your kid is into Nintendo games mainly, then get a Wii. If he's into more shooter games or RPGs, I'm more of a fan of the PS3. Games look better on that console than the XBox.0
