fitbit logging questtions

I am torn as to it I just want to start logging food and exercise all on the fitbit website. I hate having to log on the 2 different sites and I don't really use the message board very much. I also figure that as long as I am tracking does it really matter where. Also, I wear my fitbit all the time except for sleeping, so my question is do I log the exercise or just use the steps that registered. For example, I did 45 minutes of zumba this am, and just wore the fitbit and didn't log any exercise just the steps when it synced. Is that what everyone else does. Just trying to maximize my results. Thanks.
