I just started working out this last week at a local gym. My starting weight was 196! Granted I am 44 but it's ironic that my Grandma used to shove P.B. shakes down my throat when I was a child so I would gain weight. I guess it worked! In my early 20's I jogged a lot and did not move past 145. Then it seemed like in one year in my mid 20's I jumped 20 lbs after my running was stopped by a bad knee (racquet ball game). Then I gained another 20lb the next few years. I have stayed in the upper 180 to 200 the last 20 years or so. I joined this forum for accountability and support to get down to 175-180 and fit. Thanks for all the input and testimonials, it has already been an encouragement.
