Now you probably know this but, are you eating a lot of sodium? Also, try putting some lemon in your water (a fourth of a slice per day) that might help some. Another thing, are you coming close to your "curse" sometimes that will make me really bloated. :explode:

I know where you are coming from. I even went to see my doctor because I thought something is wrong. I was eating under my calories and exercising 3-6 days per week. He actually wasn't much help. He was just like wow you really should be loosing weight, are you sure you are eating correctly. He even had me keep a food diary incase this website was miscalculating my calories. Then at the 2 month mark all of a sudden i dropped 10 pounds in 2 weeks. I think it could be a variety of things stressing over it was a big contributer. Once I stopped stressing and making sure I ate all my calories it just worked. Just keep at it and it will happen.

    cheers!!

First, let me apologize for the long post, but I want to tell you about this book that really helped me and my family (my sis lost 35 lbs and has kept it off for the last year and a 1/2). It's called "Forever Young Diet and Lifestyle" (you can find it on amazon.com or half.com). He says that "essentially the modern American leading a sedentary lifestyle of automobiles, couches, televisions, computers, and junk food is like a fish out of water. Our genes have changed minimally over the past few thousand years, yet our diets and lifestyles have become progressively more divergent from those of our ancient ancestors." He recommends eating like we did a few thousand years ago (fresh fruit, berries, nuts, lean meats, vegetables) and staying away from highly processed foods.

On a separate note, it will be difficult to take off weight without exercise b/c if you take in less calories than you need in a day, your body automatically reacts by slowing its metabolism to adjust for the reduced calories(our body's way of adapting to less calories and being able to survive). Exercise works to increase metabolism so you truly burn more calories than you ingest and really start losing weight.

women have a harder time because our bodies are prepared to "protect the species". It is frustrating and can take a few weeks or more for your body to get with the program. It took me 12 weeks to loose the first 10 lbs but I lost inches. MEasure yourself and keep track. I notice that months that I loose weight my measurements don't really change but months that I don't loose weight I do loose inches.

remember you didn't put it on over night and you aren't going to loose it over night!
