Hello all!
My weight loss just won't start. I have lost a little water weight, but that's all. I'm 5'8'', 168lbs, eat around 1470 calories a day, workout 3 days a week (20-30min cardio, 15min weights and 10min abdominals).
Should I workout longer? Should I workout more often? Eat more? Eat less?
I want to commit to this 110%, but I also want to have the right tools and do the right thing!

Looking at your journal - it looks like you're doing well. If all of your measurements are accurate, you should start seeing some progress soon. Sometimes it takes a while. But in the meantime I would suggest weighing your food as apposed to measuring. You may be calculating your calories inaccurately.
Edit to add: You are pretty close to being a good weight, so your body isn't going to want to drop a whole lot of weight. So I would also suggest making goals of .5 lbs a week. Your weight will come off slower the closer you are to a healthy weight.0 -
i'm having exactly the same issue! Although to be honest this week has been terrible for me, i've been pretty naughty when its come to food. I'll follow this thread0

Hello!
You haven't really given any info about how long you've been doing this without seeing results. And if you're losing little amounts of weight slowly over time, that's likely a good thing! Be patient My only recommendation based on what you've given is to work out more often throughout the week. Also, keep in mind what kinds of foods you're putting in, not just the number of calories [re: 1400 calories of takeout and junk food vs 1400 calories of healthy foods]. It won't make a difference on the scale but it will with your clothes/how your body looks and feels
Best of luck!0 -
It sounds like you are doing well... how long have you been working out for?... getting fit is not an easy fix... this is a life time commitment that is a process... Give it sometime and keep up the good work... you might want to even try some workout DVD's if you like working out at home, it will give you an idea of what you can do to get moving... i love P90X and have had amazing results with it.0
