Who has done that? My daughter is allergic to milk so we don't do yogurt or milk. So I was wondering if anyone has used soy products instead of milk and/or juice

I often use soy. Dependng on what type of smoothie/shake, you can slightly taste the difference but normally its just fine. Someitmes I make a protein ultramet shake and tastes great with soy.
  • Great, thanks everyone! I think I will try that this weekend! Chocolate and banana :D YUM!
  • I often use silk vanilla flavored soy milk with a little bit of dannon vanilla yogurt for the base of my smoothie and then I mix and match and add things such as:
    1) a banana
    2) frozen raspberries
    3) frozen blackberries
    4) spinach
    5) flax seeds
    6) frozen strawberries

uuum yummie I had one today:happy:

We have been using soy milk products since my eldest weaned years ago and as I'm lactose intolerant vanilla soy milk is our staple. I make all of my portein shakes with soy milk, 1/2 cup of frozen mangos, bananas and strawberries, 1 scoop of protein powder and some wheat germ/flaxseed blend...viola! Toss it into the bullet and it is ready in 1 minute.

  • You can also use real fruit juice with lactose-free protein powder

How about those soft dessert tofu for the creamier texture ? They are loaded with flavor and protein.
  • Really Brandy, all ya had to do was ask! Jeez. Yeah, we use soy all the time--I usually use it to get the protien with less calories/fat than actual milk, since we have it anyway. But I also like to use yogurt a lot too, which I've never tried with soy yogurt because we don't usually buy it. Probably pretty good though, so let me know how that works out if you try it. Thanks lady--happy blending!
