Hi
How would you work out the calories for a shepherds pie. I've used a 500g bag of lamb mince but don't know how many potoatoes. The meal is to serve 2 adults and 4 small kids so smaller portions. Sometimes it's hard to work things out isn't it.
thanks

I use this site for calculating my recipes: http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-calculator.asp
Hope that helps,

Hiya
I cooked a shepherds pie last week, to get the calories i added all the ingredients and then created my own food so it was more accurate,
for example: i added calories from meat, potatoes, the vegetables etc and then divided by how many portions you are making to get the estimate what you will be eating, i cooked for 4 so after adding all ingredients i divided it by four and this was my calories for that portion
hope this makes sense :huh:0
