Arc Trainer?

Hi guys! I always see this cardio machine at the gym and don't know what it is. It looks similar to an elliptical. I looked it up and I'm thinking it may be an arc trainer? Can someone shed some light on the differences between this and an elliptical and what they prefer? Thanks!

I just had this convo with a gym employee, then came on here trying to figure out how to log it :-) she explained to me that it's another low impact machine, a cross between an elliptical and a step climber. She said it works different muscles than the elliptical.
